In a culture bereft of elders and ceremonial initiations, where do we turn for guidance, for help in discovering who we are and why we are here?

The plants and trees have lovingly come forward to offer their assistance as modern day elders and master teachers. They are offering a new portal to initiation, initiating us into what it is to be truly human and to take up our rightful place of belonging in the wider world of nature.

In a Plant Spirit Initiation, we have an opportunity to go deep with a plant very quickly. Healing occurs and is often profound and deep. The plants can offer us nourishing connection with all of Life. They can help us to remember who we are so that we can fulfill our destinies. They can open gateways to higher consciousness, expand our awareness and facilitate direct communion with Spirit. An initiation strips away our familiar beliefs and opens our consciousness to new possibilities.

A Plant Spirit Initiation is a 3-day sacred ceremony where we will work intimately with one particular plant through a variety of ‘activities’ or engagements. Some of these include: sitting and communing with the plant via sensory awareness and vibratory resonance, drinking an elixir made from the plant (several times through the 3 days), a shamanic drum journey to meet the spirit of the plant, a green breath journey with the plant, a dismemberment journey, embodying the spirit of the plant through mask making and a fire council as well as engaging in reciprocity.

You will be asked to prepare yourself for this ceremony in a few simple ways. It is recommended that you fast for this initiation, so that only the plant elixir, water and supportive teas are entering your system. For those who need a little fuel, there will be some light snacks available. We will end the ceremony with a feast at lunchtime on the final day.
